What you can play here
Play against the in-browser AI as White or Black, share one device for pass-and-play, or create a room and send a link. AI games include hints, undo, and replay. Pass-and-play includes undo and replay, and does not hint for either side. The board is always 8×8, and White moves first.
The site is meant for practice, teaching, and casual games with people you know. If you want to learn the rules first, start with Rules; if you want board-side judgment and training ideas, go to Tips.
Where game data stays
AI and pass-and-play games are stored in this browser so you can return to the position. Starting a new game clears that local record. Online rooms sync moves to the other seat and keep a room code and seat token on your device for reconnecting. This site does not create usernames or passwords for play.
What this site does not do
There are no ranks, ladders, or automatic matching with strangers. This is a free practice board, not a coaching service or a rated event. AI strength varies with the device and the level you pick.
Why this board exists
The aim is a quieter table: open it and play, without an account, a download, or a menu to hunt through. Sit-tee deployment, the short elephant, and promotion on the far-side diagonals stay on this 8×8 board so a first game can show why Sittuyin is not later chess.
The point is not to sand Sittuyin down until it feels like modern chess. The point is to make its own shape legible from the first game onward.
